2-stroke diesel engine

The 2-stroke diesel engine is durable and simple. But its emissions are higher than four strokes. Burning must happen quickly, especially in small engines.
One big  manufacturer of small engines was General Motors. GM 2 Stroke diesel is so-called "Screaming Jimmy". 6-71(6 cyl line)  was the world's most manufactured industrial diesel engine.

Ship engines are often 2 stroke diesel too. The 2-stroke diesel is much different than the 2-stroke gasoline engine.
